Total Recall (2012)

Total Recall Kaitlyn Leeb

I’ve got to say, I really enjoyed this one. I never did like the original. When the first one came out, it was the first Arnold movie I didn’t like (it wouldn’t be the last: See Expendables 2). Even for the time, the effects were crappy, I thought. Anyway, the 2013 remake was great fun.

For the Story it gets a +1, for the Look it gets +2 and shows us all what Toronto (where it was filmed) will look like in the future. I must add that everything looks real in the film and unlike Star Wars Episodes 1-3, I never thought Jesus, that looks so fake. The Overall Casting scores +2, Commitment to the Sci-Fi genre scores a +2 and the Title scores +1 because while it sums up the point of the film, it becomes a name without a meaning. Subtotal: 8 Points.

I’m going to add +1 for the Robocops which looked excellent. I’m going to deduct -1 point for the prostitute: “It seems like you’re looking for something. Is this it?” Says the girl with three boobs as she opens her jacket. “You’re going to wish you had three hands.” And I’m thinking I wouldn’t be able to stop thinking just how weird it was that this girl had three boobs! There are plenty of other things I would wish for before asking for a third hand.

I highly recommend Total Recall (2012) with it’s score of 8 points. It’s like Blade Runner without the BORING!
